Participating clubs may enter runners prior to the season and in accordance with the updated Rules on the website also included in the Team Managers’ Guide, and will issue a number to their runners.
Runners may not enter as individuals.
Guest runners may be permitted, but again only in accordance with the updated Rules as well as included in the Team Managers’ Guide.
Attention All Athletes: As per the League Rules:
(See Rule 31): Any runners wearing headphones will be disqualified from the race.
(See Rule 4 (Race Numbers)): Any runner seen wearing a race number for another event in an OXL race will automatically be disqualified from the race.
NO SPITTING – Please refer to the OXL – Spitting Notice.
PLEASE USE THE TOILET FACILITIES PROVIDED – Anyone identified defecating or urinating in public at any OXL venue will receive an outright 12–month ban from the League with immediate effect.
Important Venue Notes:
• The races are being held on private land with the kind permission of the landowner. Please treat all areas with the utmost respect as we would like to be invited back in future years.
• Dogs must be kept on the lead for the duration of the fixture.
• Sufficient toilet facilities will be provided. Please use them.
• The League would appreciate it if you could please support the catering provision arranged by the host clubs for the fixture.
Lyme Disease Notice
When running through woodlands there is always a risk of being bitten by tick’s etc. and therefore insect repellent containing DEET is advisable.
Unfortunately, if a tick is infected with Lyme disease there is a possibility of it passing on the disease to runners.
If after having run through woodlands or long grass you notice a red circular rash around a bite mark, it would be advisable to get it checked out sooner rather than later. Further details can be found on this NHS Lyme Disease webpage.

Directions
Southbound (from M40) traffic: Exit the M4 at junction 12. At the junction after the M40 exit turn right onto the B4009. Follow the road into Watlington. Turn left at the T–junction and follow the B480. Continue straight on joining the B481 passing through Cookley Green until the junction with the A4130 is reached at Nettlebed. Turn left onto the A4130 and follow the road to Henley. Pass the reverse fork in the road at Lower Assendon until the next roundabout is reached. Take the first exit onto the Marlow Road following the A4155. Continue along the road for approximately 2 miles until Greenlands is reached and turn left onto Dairy Lane following the XC signs.
Eastbound (from A34) traffic: Exit the A34 at Milton Interchange. Follow the A4130 passing around both Didcot and Wallingford, and through Nettlebed. Continue along the A4130 to Henley passing the reverse fork in the road at Lower Assendon until the next roundabout is reached. Take the first exit onto the Marlow Road following the A4155. Continue along the road for approximately 2 miles until Greenlands is reached and turn left onto Dairy Lane following the XC signs.
Northbound (from M4) traffic: Exit the M4 at junction 12. At the roundabout take the first exit onto the A4 (Bath Road) northeast to Tywford and Maidenhead. Continue along the A4 until the junction (roundabout) with the A33 is reached. Take the first exit (northwards) continue straight on to the second roundabout. Take the first exit onto the A4155 and continue along the road through Caversham, Play Hatch and Shiplake until the outskirts of Henley is reached. Continue straight on across three roundabouts eventually merging with the A4130. At the double roundabout north of the town centre take the second exit (second roundabout) onto the Marlow Road following the A4155 again. Continue along the road for approximately 2 miles until Greenlands is reached and turn left onto Dairy Lane following the XC signs.
From that point onwards follow the signs.

Car Parking
As part of the Future League Funding Proposal voted for at the 2022 AGM no car parking fees will be levied.
Please ensure the directions of the car parking marshals are adhered to when parking your vehicle.

Presentations
The timing of the presentations will be as follows:
11:15hrs (or as close as possible) – U9 and U11 Girls & Boys: This ceremony will include the awards for the top 3 and the award of participation medals for all children who have completed at least 4 of the 5 races this season.
13:30hrs (or as close as possible) – U13 & upwards: This ceremony will include an announcement of the top 3 individuals in the U9 and U11 Girls & Boys categories, the awards for the top 3 individuals for all the remaining categories, overall and team prizes.
Arrangements will be made for the collection of trophies and medals (not collected on the day) will in the week following the completion of this final fixture of the season.
Age Groups for 2022–23 season
These are all according to age at midnight on the age date (31 August 2022), except for U9s – see below.
U9 are age 8 on the age date or, if age 7 on the age date, must be age 8 on the day of the event;
U11 are age 9 or 10 on the age date;
U13 are age 11 or 12 on the age date;
U15 are age 13 or 14 on the age date;
U17 are age 15 or 16 on the age date;
U20 are age 17, 18 or 19 on the age date;
Senior Women are age 20 to 34 on the age date;
Vet Women V1 are age 35 to 44; V2 are age 45 to 54; V3 are 55 to 64; V4 are 65 or over on the age date;
Senior Men are age 20 to 39 on the age date;
Vet Men V1 are age 40 to 49; V2 are age 50 to 59; V3 are age 60 to 69; V4 are 70 or over on the age date.
